I'm 17 years old and live in County Durham in England, UK. I'm a TV/Movie junkie - get used to it.

Wonder Falls on me.

And he blogs again! …it’s only been nearly five months.

I’ll blog more. I think. Or hope. Probably more hope than expect. Anyway…

Well, I went to Canada. I went to Eureka. I enjoyed my two days on set, I wish it could have been more time and less supervised. I enjoyed several days with cast members when I was off set. It could have been a lot better. My time on set was superb, but the rest was a real disappointment. One thing I am certain of…the US television industry is where I want to be.

Upon my return to the UK, I felt so…uncomfortable. Even doing shite all in my hotel room in Vancouver, I felt more at home than I did here. I’m over that, I’m comfortable here again.

My website. Wow, has that thing been neglected the last couple of weeks. My parents have been working me like a dog in the garden day and night. So much work, when I’m finished I just want to sleep.

But I’m not being completely honest. I am very busy, yes. But I’m still finding my time to watch television. But come on, that requires minimal effort…

Since returning to Canada, I watched a season of Monk, 4 seasons of Hell’s Kitchen (which I found a liking for in Canada), and I’ve nearly finished watching all 13 episodes of Wonderfalls.

Now that Eureka is airing, I will be back to work on the website. Working solid. I’m thinking of redesigning the website over the next few days and writing some bios and transcripts. Help pass some time until…

Lydia is back on Saturday! Can’t wait. I’ve missed talking to her every night. I’ve missed going to Durham and hanging out with her. She liked Eureka as well. Amazing girl.

I’m going back to Wonderfalls. Hey - it’s research. Neil’s in it. hehe.

EUREKA! LESS THAN 24 HOURS AWAY!

Coursework is killing me.

I’ve got so much to do, but so little time to do it in. By Tuesday, I need to do the following:

  • 4 pieces of English homework I missed while I was off for two weeks.
  • The rest of my Implementation for IT. FYI - that’s big.
  • Media Brief, Storyboards, and as much filming and editing as I can squeeze into two days.

If I don’t get the English done, I get kicked off the course and then out of college. So that’s my priority. Not that I’m totally bothered about that anymore. I think I’m going to be going to a different college, New College Durham, in September anyway because this place is completely shit. Worst thing about English is that everytime I have to do a written piece, I get an A, but everytime I have to analyze (a.k.a. “comment linguistically on”) something, I just suck. If it was all about writing, as I originally thought when I took the subject, I’d be acing it.

I’m taking today off, though. I know I should probably do the coursework, but I’m not interested in wasting my Saturday - my 1 free day of the week - doing something I don’t want to be doing.

So I’m gonna spend a few hours working on The S.A.R.A.H. Archives.

In goes the Rescue Me DVD (the show I’m rewatching while I work), opens WordPad for the coding, Photoshop for the images and Filezilla for the FTP uploads, and to work I go.

Worst two weeks ever.

Yeah, right.  My parents left to Cuba at 4.22am this morning and won’t be back until 2 weeks from today.  I have the house all to myself.  Plus dogs.  Try best two weeks ever.  Although, then again…this is like the third or fourth time now - it’s getting old.  This time I haven’t even moved my computer downstairs to hook it up to the 32”.  I’m satisfied with my new 19” widescreen monitor…fine, it’s not 32” but it’s widescreen and I can lie on my bed as I watch television on it instead of on the sofa downstairs.  So, yeah, it’s probably that I can’t be assed to lug the computer downstairs.  Damn, I need a new laptop.

Casting the trailer has been chaotic.  Hannah declined, I asked Rebecca, she’s hella busy.  Fortunately, Abbie said she will and this time I’m fairly certain I’ve got my two actors locked.  She’s even willing to kiss Aaron, so I’ve got the kiss scene I was probably going to have to omit sealed as well.  Told y’all it would slot together nicely.

Scripts…Eric has recommended I do the sci fi romance first.  I’ll probably take his advice - it is the most developed of the two ideas.  I just don’t have the time!  College work, VisitEureka.net work, my obsession with watching 9000 episodes of television (literally!)…I’m just struggling for time.  Hell, I’m still only one 3rd through the final Harry Potter and I started the day the book was released.

Time.  There just isn’t enough of it!!

Casting is a bitch.

I’ve gotta cast my movie trailer…my Media coursework for college.  It’s an absolute bitch.  First, Hayley was gonna do it.  And then she turns around and says no way.  Next, I ask Laura but yano, Laura lives so far away it’s difficult for her to get here.  Natalie offered, but I doubt she’d bother.  So I asked Hannah.  Now, Hannah might.  But she can only do it Monday - Wednesday.  Aaron, my male actor, cannot do Monday, so I’ve gotta get Hannah on Tuesday and Wednesday.

So yeah, its difficult.  I’ll get there eventually.  It’ll all slot together nicely in the end I am sure.  And if the trailer is decent, I’ll YouTube it and link everyone.  If it sucks, it’ll never seen the light of day post-in-class-screening.

Positive…if Hannah does do it, I’ll be meeting her and Richard again - two people I’ve not seen for 7 years.  Spoke to them online, but not seen in person.

Yay, I blogged again!

My movie ideas.

I’ve got two bubbling around at the moment. One is a sci-fi romantic movie that could work as a backdoor pilot for a television series. I say it’s a sci-fi…maybe not. Dunno how to define it. But I like the idea. Not one for romance movies, but hey - can’t help what ideas pop into your head. I’ll eventually start writing it. It does have some relation to events in my life, which I’m sure the people involved will realize, but it’s not the typical guy wanting girl thing. We’ll see. Maybe one day I’ll start typing and it’ll turn out okay. I’ve got 15 years minimum before any of my scripts start to matter anyway.

The other I guess could be described as a sci-fi. I can’t give much away in case you steal the idea (so far it can be summed up in 1 line)…not that you’d do that, though, yeah. Again, it could function as a backdoor pilot (what can I say, at the end of the day I’m a TV guy). And again, I’ll eventually start writing it but yeah…no rush just yet.

One thing I hate is when I get a really cool scene in my head, but can’t think of an overall story to pin the scene to. Really bugs me. Hopefully these random scenes in my head will come in handy.

I’ll blog more soon. I’m actually finally interested in doing one.
